We had one outstanding International Education Week this passed November with a wide variety of events such as Sounds of Africa where attendees were shown different types of music and instruments from all over the continent of Africa; International Dress Day which invited people all over campus and town to dress in garments that mean something to them from another culture; International Jersey Day, because fans love to represent their favorite sports teams; Dance Around the World, which featured traditional dances and food from countries all over the world; Cultural Bites where students took over the on campus dining halls to bring food from their home countries, the countries featured were Panama, South Korea, The Philippines, India, Bolivia, Nepal, and China. A very special thank you to Chartwells for partnering with us to bring the amazing event of Cultural Bites to the campus community!
We kicked the week off with an outstanding performance by Jordan’s music ambassadress, Farah Siraj, in the Faulkner Performing Arts Center, followed by two interactive and entertaining performances by Gregorio Uribe from Colombia.
